Tennessee Hearts~ For my dear friend Lauren

This is Tennessee Hearts~ A adaptation of an antique rug that Barbara Carrol of 'Wooley Fox"owns.  The second I laid eyes on it going up her staircase I knew I had to hook it.  I snapped this photo of it real quick before dinner per Lauren's request.  You see, the first time I met Lauren, I was hooking this rug.  All the strips are hand torn, my goodness they have to be a 10-11 cut.  It was really a fun rug to hook, it hangs in my living room and I don't think I could ever part with it.  Enjoy!

  1. Dear friend Lisa ~
How very, very sweet of you!!! Thank you so much for sharing and I guess if I break in to your house and steal (borrow?) it you would notice it was missing??? It is absolutely WONDERFUL! Your color choices are stunning (but they ALWAYS are)!
I give blood on occasion and once or twice I was "almost" denied. You see, if they check the hemoglobin on the right hand and it's too low, they will recheck the other hand and it can be okay. Go figure. I told the lady she was lucky I'm as stable as I am because being rejected by the blood bank could really cause a person to go off the deep end!
Pug hugs and Happy Halloween :)

  7. I love the look and the colors. I've never used hand torn pieces but it makes a nice effect.

  8. Thanks everyone for the wonderful compliments. I know hooking with a wide cut like 10 sounds scary (it is)it's really not bad on a rug with huge motifs like this one. Give it a try, it really fills in fast too.
